Recently, Tembo Elly had the unique opportunity to offer his expert knowledge to the staff of Mount Elgon Hotel in Mbale, a key location known for its rich coffee-growing regions.

During the session, Tembo shared his passion of coffee-making, focusing on brewing techniques, understanding the origins of Uganda’s finest Arabica coffee, and the importance of preserving coffee’s integrity from farm to cup. He highlighted the exceptional quality of coffee sourced from the slopes of Mount Elgon, where Sera Wild Coffee originates, and demonstrated various brewing methods to enhance the flavor profiles of different roasts.

One of the highlights of the day was a special segment on Dawa Tea, an invigorating and refreshing blend known for its healing properties. Tembo demonstrated how to prepare this much-loved East African beverage, allowing the hotel staff to master this healthy, spiced tea that promises to become a favorite on their menu.



The training provided invaluable insights into the art of coffee-making, from handling beans, proper storage, and brewing, to presenting coffee as a high-end experience for hotel guests. The staff of Mount Elgon Hotel were eager to learn and expressed their excitement to implement the knowledge gained, aligning with the hotel’s efforts to elevate its hospitality offerings.
